Brandy Melville has finally answered our inner white girl prayers and opened a store in ION Orchard.

When my friend sent me a Telegram message in August with an image attached of Brandy being under works, we both could not believe our eyes until we went down to ION to see it with our very own eyes. We no longer have to travel half way across the world for our beloved, or deal with troublesome third party shipping!

Most would know that Brandy is infamous for its "One Size Fits Most" concept (although FYI some (rare) bottoms actually do have sizes S and M), but I think it is quite a convenience because you won't have to deal with the disappointment of seeing something you like and not finding your size - since what you see, you can get, hahaha duh.

On to my conflicting feelings about Brandy in Singapore -

If you have seen Brandy Melville hauls on YouTube, then you may have seen that some YouTubers like to say that many people can fit, given the stretchiness, but I say that is utter bullshit. Even though they do stretch, it may not look as good on others. Obviously some clothes will not fit all body types, but there are different fits of clothing - tight and oversized that can cater to you. Different clothes will look different on different people, that's what makes them unique. So if you are one of those who are strongly against this concept, why not give it a shot? Maybe you'll something you like.

I'm sure most of us are really happy about Brandy finally entering the Asian market (the other Asian store is in Thailand), but I'm also quite scared of it losing its exclusiveness. Not trying to sound like some arrogant bitch, but I foresee the white-washing and homogenising of the Singaporean female crowd.

So... who is John Galt? You may have noticed that some of Brandy's clothing has a "J.Galt" label instead of "Brandy Melville" and wonder 'who the hell is this dude?'.
